Sirota has teamed up with The Conference Board and Deloitte to launch The Engagement Institute.  The Engagement Institute is a joint undertaking among three organizations, all with strong research capabilities and a deep desire to advance the state of engagement in the world through helping members and clients.  Members will have the opportunity to be at the intersection of a community of practitioners, survey experts, and researchers committed not only to addressing the current engagement needs of organizations, but also advancing the thinking about the future of engagement through research, peer learning, continual improvement and business impact.  We offer two options for being part of this research community… as a Research Fellow or Advisor.  Please click here to join or to learn more.

Hogan Assessment Systems

National Organization on Disability (NOD)

The NOD is a private, non-profit organization that promotes the full participation of America’s 56 million people with disabilities in all aspects of life. Today, NOD focuses on increasing employment opportunities for the 79 percent of working-age Americans with disabilities who are not employed.  For several years, Sirota and the NOD have been producing collaborative research on Employees with Disabilities (EWD) with the goal of providing equal access and equal treatment for people with Disabilities.  Peter Rutigliano, Ph.D. is an active member of the CEO council for the NOD.


Hofstra University – Based in Hempstead, NY, Hofstra has an active Industrial/Organization Psychology program in both the undergraduate and graduate studies.  Sirota maintains a strong connection with Hofstra having several interns having attended the university in addition to fulltime employees.  Sirota and Hofstra have partnered on several research projects through presentations at SIOP as well as publications.  Peter Rutigliano, Ph.D. sits on the Corporate Advisory Board for their Doctoral Program..

Baruch College, City University of New York (CUNY)

Baruch College, is based in the Gramercy Park area of New York City.  Baruch has had a long and successful relationship with Sirota.  Baruch’s Industrial / Organizational Psychology programs at the undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. level have a strong research focus and develop strong students.  Sirota has had the pleasure of hiring many Baruch interns; many of whom have stayed on as full-time employees.  In addition to being a strong feeder of talent, we have joined forces on many research projects and grant submissions over the years. A large number of these projects have been presented at the SIOP annual conference and several of the projects have been published in peer reviewed journals.  Peter Rutigliano, Ph.D. of Sirota and Charles Scherbaum, Ph.D. and Lise Saari, Ph.D. of Baruch maintain this mutually beneficial and productive relationship.

New York Metropolitan Association for Applied Psychology (METRO)

METRO is the longest running local Industrial/Organizational professional group in the United States.  This local NY group supports I/O Psychologists by providing a monthly forum for members to exchange ideas and research, discuss current topics, and maintain social events for networking opportunities for the betterment of I/O psychology in general. Sirota has maintained a long relationship with METRO as an active sponsor, having several associates as members, in addition to providing speakers for events.  In addition, Peter Rutigliano, Ph.D. has been on the Board of METRO for several years.

The Society For Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP)

For the past three years, Sirota has provided survey research support to the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.  Consisting of over 6000 members, SIOP is the premier membership organization for those practicing and teaching I-O psychology.  While an independent organization with its own governance, SIOP is also a division within the American Psychological Association and an organizational affiliate of the Association for Psychological Science.  I-O psychology is a dynamic and growing field that encompasses workplace issues at the individual and organizational level. I-O psychologists apply research that improves the well-being and performance of people and the organizations that employ them.  This involves everything from workforce planning, employee selection, and leader development to studying job attitudes and job motivation, implementing work teams, and facilitating organizational change.
